Foraged Fairy Houses Craft

Foraged Fairy Houses Craft
For our second Crafty Corner, we're getting magical with our nature finds. Mama of four, Camp Counselor Shai is here to sprinkle some fairy dust on your daily family walk.

Engage your little explorers with this delightful and imaginative craft!

Materials

  • Empty pop bottle
  • Cardboard
  • Tape
  • Hot glue gun
  • Stones
  • Collected treasures such as flowers, rocks, sticks, etc (your child will do this part)

Instructions

  1. Cut the pop bottle in half; use the bottom half for the craft.
  2. Create a roof by cutting a circle out of cardboard and slicing to the center. Overlap the cut edges to form a cone shape and tape it closed.
  3. (Optional) Add a chimney by forming a small tube out of cardboard and attaching it to the roof. For an extra whimsical touch, help your child hot glue small stones onto the chimney.
  4. Assist your child in hot gluing leaves onto the roof.
  5. Encourage your child to fill the bottom half of the pop bottle with gathered treasures from outside: flowers, leaves, sticks, rocks.
  6. Once the bottom of the bottle is filled with their collected items, place the roof on top.

And there you have it: a charming fairy house filled with your child's foraged finds!
